How do you develop a new character voice?

I brainstorm while lounging in a bathtub of green Jello (fully dressed) while humming national anthems of the world, thinking of accents, and dreaming of being a lumberjack. (Obviously.)

Do you have any sore throat secret remedies for announcers?

Boil one cup of water and add four tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.  Squeeze all tea from bags and remove from water. Add one teaspoon of salt.  Gargle as often as you can stand it!  This recipe is from my doctor.  He says it reduces inflammation, kills bateria, soothes your throat and contains tetrazine which draws out infection. Use it at your own risk, it tastes awful!
